Ringers who are registered on SmART Ringer will appear in your My Ringers area when you log in. Just click on this button and you’ll be taken to your list of ringers.
You can record their progress through the LtR scheme by submitting a pass at one of the five levels and requesting a certificate each time they complete a level in their Personal Progress Logbook. Even adult ringers can find these really motivating – we all like to have our achievements and hard work recognised.
ART has recognised what others in education have discovered, that people continue with hobbies and interests where they feel they are making progress. Having the next LtR level as a goal can really help keep new ringers interested and if they also start setting their own personal goals as well, they are very likely to keep ringing.
You should ensure your ringers have completed a ‘permission to ring’ form, which enables you to confirm their consent to add their data to SmART Ringer. New logbooks now have a pull-out form in the centre of the book. If you have an older version of the logbook, you can download a copy of the form (for free) from the ART online shop.
