Our Summer edition of Tower Talk has been prepared in the heatwave and brings ideas for ringing holidays, ringing in the heat and taking charge when others are away on their own trips.
We are delighted to begin by celebrating the recognition of Pip Penney MBE, and to bring her listening tips to a fresh audience.
You will find updates from ART Awards winners and a host of LtR achievements, demonstrating the contagious enthusiasm which bellringing encourages!
I think it’s particularly inspiring to hear from Kris about the new Burghill Teaching Hub. Less than two years from a Module 1 day course and now eight accredited teachers are taking learners through into LtR Level 2 with Sunday service bands complete and ringers enjoying ongoing development together.
Alongside its regular features, the August edition of Tower Talk includes:
- Pip Penney, MBE
- The Difference between London and Wellington
- The South West Ringing Course
- How did that Happen? We’re a Teaching Hub!
- When the Cat’s Away
- Ringing Holidays
- Catching up with Clare
- Tower to Test Room
- Listening for your Bell
You’re reading this as either a ringer registered on Learning the Ropes or as a ringing teacher registered on the ART Training Scheme and you are as part of a huge family of ringers globally! Tower Talk is for you – ringers and teachers – to feel part of this amazing community which stretches right around the world. If you have enjoyed Tower Talk why not forward this edition to your ringing friends so that they feel part of this amazing community too.
