- If you click on FAQs on the top menu bar, you will find a full list of FAQs.
- If you click on I want to… on the top menu bar, you will find a list of links giving more information about actions commonly performed on SmART Ringer.
The home page
SmART Ringer is divided into a number of areas. Every user will have access to the My Profile and My Ringing areas. Access to other areas will depend on which programmes you are enrolled on and your role. You will only see the areas to which your have access.
Each area contains a mix of information that ART holds about you and information about people that you have a ringing, mentoring or teaching relationship with. Action buttons (e.g. save, edit or submit) will not be active – they are greyed out – until you change something or select someone to perform the action on.
Selecting another user
You will only be able to select a user with whom you have an existing relationship; either as a ringer’s teacher or as another teacher’s mentor or co-teacher. In order to perform an action on this person you must first select them by clicking on their name. Only then, will the action buttons (e.g. submit, disconnect or edit) become active.
Time delays
There will sometimes be a delay between performing an action and the results of this action appearing on SmART Ringer. This is time that the the Admin Team need to check and action your submission. This happens in the following circumstances:
- Submitting a new ringer.
- Submitting a new LtR level.
- Passing of a M1, M2F or M2C theory test.
- Safeguarding checking.
- Membership payments.
Please allow the Admin Team sufficient time (up to 3 working days) to process this information, although they will try to process it sooner.
What’s the difference between Save and Submit?
When you are adding a new ringer, you have the option of saving or submitting this user.
Save allows you to save any information that you’ve entered, and come back later and modify this data. No action will be taken by the Admin Team until you… Submit, which saves the data AND submits it to the Admin Team for further action. Once you’ve submitted you cannot edit the data.
