We all met in Thorley in Hertfordshire for a Module 2F training day. Ali Poulter, tower captain of St James the Great church welcomed us followed by the introduction of the participants. Amazingly we were drawn from very disparate parts of the UK including Northern Island, Yorkshire, Kent, East Sussex, Devon and of course the home counties. David Sparling took us through the day in a stimulating and participative manner. We enjoyed the practical session where the bells were responsive, well behaved, predictable and a pleasure to ring. ART does a great job in bringing potential tutors to shadow experienced trainers like David and we were lucky to have Rebecca Odames from Leicestershire and Neil Jones from Kent present who greatly added their experience, especially in the practical sessions.
Also thanks to Claire May, the local ART organiser who created a perfectly coordinated day and also gave the trainees support during the day.
